No. Our service is broadcast from tower locations across our coverage area, usually within a few miles of you, which means we do not have to fight with the atmosphere. With Starwire, you will not experience the same issues that you would with satellite; data caps, slow downs, outages when it rains or snows, or high latency. In addition, you will be working with a local company that cares about you!

No. Because you are connected to a tower which is usually within a few miles of your location, your signal doesn't need to travel through the atmosphere like a satellite based system.

No. The signal is sent to an antenna that is located on the outside of your home or business. From there you can attach a wireless router to receive wireless signal inside your home.

Yes, we offer seasonal accommodations. When you are getting ready to leave town, let us know you want your account to be put on seasonal suspension. When you are getting ready to come back, make sure to let us know so we can get the service turned back on. Service must stay active for a minimum of 6 months in a 12 month period. In order to fulfil the 1 year contract, we simply break it up into two 6-month seasons. A $10 a month suspension fee will be applied for each month your account is suspended.

Absolutely! Unlike satellite our latencies are low enough to play even the most twitchy games!

Installation is free. A one year contractis required. If you are in need of a wireless router, you may purchase one from us or from any electronic retailer. If you already own a wireless router, we can typically re-use them.

No. Our services are 100% independent from the phone company, and no phone line is required to use high-speed internet.

Usually not. We don’t punish you just because you are a business. There are only a few situations where a Commercial plan is required. If you are providing wireless connectivity for your guests or customers, or if there are multiple businesses or locations sharing one connection, then a Commercial plan is required. If you fall into one of those categories, please contact us and we can discuss your options and find a plan that works for you!
