Effective September 3, 2026
Part of your Subscriber Agreement. We can update it under Section 23 of that agreement.
1. It’s your connection
This applies to everyone who uses the Service at your address. You’re responsible for what happens on it, whether or not you authorized it and whether or not you knew. Securing your network is your responsibility and a requirement of service — see Section 17 of the Subscriber Agreement.
2. What you can’t do
Don’t use the Service to:
- break any local, state, or federal law, or the law of anywhere your traffic is going;
- send junk email or messages, whether or not they go through our servers, or support anything that relies on them;
- spread malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful code;
- get into a computer, network, account, or data you’re not authorized to access, or try to;
- scan or probe someone else’s systems for weaknesses without permission;
- forge headers, spoof addresses, or otherwise fake where traffic came from;
- run or help with a denial-of-service attack;
- harass, threaten, stalk, or defraud anyone;
- send, store, or share child sexual abuse material, or intimate images of anyone shared without their consent;
- store or transfer copyrighted material you don’t have permission to have;
- interfere with the Service, our network or equipment, or other customers;
- run anything that significantly degrades the network for other people; or
- use the Service in a way that puts our network or our IP addresses at risk of being blocked or blacklisted.
3. If your equipment gets compromised
If something at your address is infected and is sending junk email, taking part in a denial-of-service attack, scanning other networks, or otherwise generating traffic that threatens our network or the reputation of our IP addresses, we may suspend or restrict your Service until it’s cleaned up. We’ll make a reasonable effort to tell you what we’re seeing so you can deal with it.
4. Reselling and sharing
Don’t resell, share, or redistribute the Service or your connection to anyone outside your Service Address without our written permission — whether you meant to or just left your network open. Letting guests use it inside your own premises is fine.
5. Servers and business use
Our plans are intended for normal use at a single Service Address. Running a server or service that the public accesses, or that generates sustained traffic well beyond typical use, falls outside that. If you want to run something like that, talk to us first so we can find a plan that fits.
This isn’t aimed at ordinary devices in your home — media servers, cameras, smart home equipment, and similar things are fine. If something at your address degrades the network for other customers or draws attacks against us, we may need you to shut it down or move to a different plan.
6. Copyright
We provide network access and don’t host anything for customers. Enforcing copyright against an individual is the rights holder’s job. We will, where appropriate, cancel the Service of customers who repeatedly infringe.
7. How we enforce this
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or cancel your Service under Section 14 of the Subscriber Agreement. We may act without warning where something threatens the network, other customers, or public safety, and we may report suspected crimes to law enforcement.
We don’t have to monitor the Service and we don’t do it routinely, but we may when we need to in order to run the network and enforce this policy.
8. Subpoenas and court orders
We respond to subpoenas, court orders, and other valid legal process as the law requires.
